Berliner Weisse is a tart and refreshing wheat beer style from Germany dating back to at least the 16th century. It is soured and fermented with a combination of brewer’s yeast and lactic-acid producing bacteria.  

Woodruff is an herb, also known as master of the woods (Waldmeister in German). It has a sweet, earthy honey-and-hay-like aroma and taste, and the littlest bit lends a delicate sweetness to counter the tartness.
