Our signature beer has its beginning in the great taste of European style lagers. Natural yeasts, locally gown malt and hops provide for the aromatic flavor that won't confuse the palate. This recipe originated from the East Anglia region of the United Kingdom and was brought across the pond for your taste pleasure.

Brewed in the time honored German ale tradition of Köln, Germany, 67 Alaska is very pale with a mild though assertive flavor from noble-pedigree hops from the Hallertau region round out the aroma and sweetness of Continental malts.

Born in America but with a soul recalling a distant English ancestry, Tanglefoot is one of the flagship India Pale Ales from the Royal Docks Brewing Company.
Tanglefoot is an American IPA in that it is a decidedly hoppier cousin to the historical British beers from which the style’s name is borrowed. The beer features a piney and resinous nose with a pleasant, rounded bitterness from healthy doses of American Nugget, Cascade and Mosaic hops.
Tanglefoot reveals its storied English heritage as it offsets the massive hop charge with a full bodied palate and sturdy malt backbone thanks to the British-grown, floor-malted Maris Otter and Harrington barley; prized throughout the world for their superior flavour and aromatics.
The Tanglefoot Legend:
The 12th Century poet and priest, La3amon was the first to chronicle the Arturian tradition. He is also the source of the legend of Pendragon’s ales.

Original Middle English:
Beore wes iworht in Aualun

to don ure vniwinen wa

Æft he likeð þan voxe
driueð wod and wild
ȝeond dalef & ȝeond dunes

hoe lette baðe ablenden & teȝen
heom lette fæt to-dælden dome
La3amon

Translation:
A beer wrought in Avalon
with magic crafted
to do our enemies woe

driving them like a fox
mad and wild
over hills and dales
leaving them with tongues
both tied and blind

According to legend, as told by Beedle the Bard, he who unites the Deathly Mallows is invincible. We thought that was a nice goal to have, so we stared fumbling with ingredients and cans up with this magical elixir. A Milk Stout that starts with a whif of smoky roast and culminates in a delicious toasted marshmallow sweetness that is enough to remind you of younger days around the campfire but not so much to make you forget you're drinking beer. Feb 2 LIVE MUSIC - Chardon Polka Band The Chardon Polka Band is making their return to Stark County for the first time in 2018! We hope you are as excited about this event as we are. Who is Chardon Polka Band you ask? Only the most feared and powerful polka band in the industry today... What happens when teenage accordion players aren't allowed in marching band? They start a polka band. In 2003, 16-year old Jake Kouwe was told there was no place for an accordion in his local high school’s marching band. In response, Jake recruited a group of five mismatched teenagers to form a genuine oom-pah style polka band. This group, known as “The Chardon High School Polka Band”, was a rather motley group of teenage musicians that included in the line-up an accordion, tuba, clarinet, saxophone, electric guitar, and trumpet. Now, fifteen years later, the band continues and its fan base grows. In the small town of Chardon, Ohio, long haired Jake Kouwe and his oom-pah gang are celebrities. The band no longer calls itself “The Chardon High School Polka Band”, since the original group has all graduated from high school (barely), and is now simply “The Chardon Polka Band”. Though the band’s membership of sometimes eccentric and always unique individuals has changed over the years, their eclectic style and uniqueness has never wavered. So come and pack the taproom to see The Chardon Polka Band perform comedic renditions of oddball favorites, bizarre audience participation songs, and even polka-rock covers of anything from Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” to Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls” to Lady Ga Ga’s “Bad Romance”. #LiveMusic #ChardonPolka #RoyalDocksBrewing #MindTheTap View all events
